So we’ve spent bloody ages in our studio over the last 12 months recording, and recording, and recording. Finally we’re getting comfortable enough to start sharing, sharing, sharing. ‘We Need This’ started off as an experiment with 909 Samples and real percussion which quickly turned into something that sounded vaguely like a coherent single (I use the word coherent very lightly).

So we played T in the Park last weekend. It was a marvelous gig and we felt like proper rockstars for a day! Have a watch of ‘Cryogeneric’ and ‘Clouds’:

It was announced on Radio 1 on Sunday night that we’ll be playing at this years T in The Park! We’re all so excited we’ve done nothing but run around naked, hi fiving each other, speaking in faux Scottish accents for the last 4 days. The lunacy is now starting to subside so we’re holed up in our studio rehearsing until our fingers bleed.

We’ll be warming up for the gig by playing 2 North East shows. One at the Cluny 2 with the awesome Prison Library and Mammal Club (Wednesday the 4th July which is Tom cruises birthday). The other will be at The Empire in Middlesbrough as part of the world famous Sumo club night (Friday the 6th of July which is 2 days after Tom Cruises birthday). New single ‘Clouds’ out now.

As the mass expanding population grows old, held tightly by the grasp of technology. We question Time, and everything that holds it…

On the 1st of March ‘Clouds’ will be available to download for those who need it. Clouds will also be a free one off show hosted at a secret location. Clouds is not a political statement or manifesto but a window to our world.

The secret location will be revealed through a process of old and new.

A cryptic map distributed online will show locations that have been digitally ‘geotagged’. Check in at the right building via Facebook to reveal a unique code. The first 50 people to email dan@weirdshapes.co.uk with these unique codes will gain free entry to the secret show. The location and ticket will be available to you on the day of the event. A modern day treasure hunt.
