New single ‘Clouds’ out now.

As the mass expanding population grows old, held tightly by the grasp of technology. We question Time, and everything that holds it…

On the 1st of March ‘Clouds’ will be available to download for those who need it. Clouds will also be a free one off show hosted at a secret location. Clouds is not a political statement or manifesto but a window to our world.

The secret location will be revealed through a process of old and new.

A cryptic map distributed online will show locations that have been digitally ‘geotagged’. Check in at the right building via Facebook to reveal a unique code. The first 50 people to email dan@weirdshapes.co.uk with these unique codes will gain free entry to the secret show. The location and ticket will be available to you on the day of the event. A modern day treasure hunt.

As the Hardware Grandmasters look down upon the Software kids we have to remember the Overall, it’s not about the equipment you have.
It’s about the music you make with it.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been busily recording the b-side to our next single, due for release early March. We have been rehearsing new material for our next live shows. We have been recording and editing little videos, been filming big ones and working on more studio material.
We like to keep busy, its what we do!

In our studio we have the tendency to constantly move furniture and equipment in attempt to find a zen like harmony between man and recording process, however this usually ends in even more mess, mass destruction and the desperate urge for a pint of Guinness! Last week we gained yet more equipment and furniture and had no option but to begin the ritual of move again, but this time we struck oil, all of a sudden things sound better, we still don’t know exactly why but ‘if it ain’t broke…’
It might sound a little obsessive (after months of feng shui and stout) but creating the right environment for us to work form is really important, we spend pretty much more time in our studio than anywhere else so I guess its got to be right.
Pre album deconstruction begins here, joss sticks, sleeping bags and ear buds at the ready!
